Mysterious Hot Guys

Chapter Two
-How to break the Ice-

For the first few periods, Emil was nowhere to be seen. You had really hoped that you would have had a chance to speak with him and befriend him before anyone else did, in order to get to know the members of his exclusive group. Lady Luck soon woke up and sat on your side by the time fourth period; mathematics came.

As you walked into the classroom with your usual friend, Arthur, you noticed Emil sat at the back left corner by the window. He was slouched over his desk and gazed out of the window like a mindless zombie. Not only was it lucky that he was sat in your class, but he was also right next to your desk.

Arthur noticed that you were staring at the new guy. "(Name), it's rude to stare." He coughed into his hand and had a small smile sat on his lips.

"I wasn't staring! I was merely noticing the fact that the young man seems to be alone." You tried to lace your voice with a mock, over the top, English accent.

You walked to your seat and slung your bag onto the floor, not bothering to get your books and pens out yet. Arthur took his regular seat in front of you, and turned it to an angle so he could have a quick conversation before the lesson began, just like always. However, even though your body faced him, your eyes were locked on the Icelandic boy.

Arthur rolled his eyes and then scrunched up a scrap piece of paper before he threw it at you. "What did I just tell you? Staring is rude." A teasing grin was still on his face.

You looked at him and told him to hush. You then leaned over your table and in a whisper began to talk. "We should try and make friends with him."

Arthur sighed. "Bloody hell, you really are captured by him aren't you?"

"N-no, I just don't like seeing anyone on their own, looking so helpless and lonely."
Arthur's deep green eyes starred at Emil and a frown sat on his lips. "Still… There's something weird about him."

You leaned back in your seat and arched an eyebrow. "Huh? What do you mean?"

Your friend shrugged his shoulders and closed his eyes. "Can't you feel it? That chilling vibe that he's emitting… it's almost like he's not from this realm."

A laugh escaped your lips and you waved away Arthur's concerns. "A ghost, a vampire, or perhaps he's a fairy? Are you seriously trying to scare me away with all that magic and supernatural stuff you love so much? He's just a normal kid who looks like he could do with a friend, Arthur."

If Emil was something unearthly, then that would just make everything even better and more exciting, but Arthur had a reputation for saying weird things and talking to himself. He was a good friend, but as soon as he went into 'do you want to stroke my unicorn?'-mode, that's when you backed off. As much as it would thrill you for Emil to be something more than just a human, things like that just doesn't happen in the real world.

Before Arthur could respond, your teacher made their presence known and you quickly pulled out your equipment for the lesson and the class began. You wished you could concentrate, but you just couldn't as your eyes kept drifting back to Emil. He wasn't paying attention either, he was too busy looking through the window and jotting down a few notes every now and then to make it look like he was working.

You jumped out of your skin when the bell rang. It had appeared as though you zoned out for longer than you had thought. You stood up and grabbed your bag, putting your books away sloppily as you kept an eye on the calm and collected Emil, who slowly packed his own things away.

Arthur circled his table to come and talk to you, but you had already drifted over to the Icelandic boy, placing a warm smile on your lips. "Hello, I'm (Name)." You said, a little nervously. Making friends shouldn't have been such a difficult job, but if you screwed up befriending Emil, then you could say goodbye to the easy way of getting into the exclusive group.

Emil stared at you with a blank expression before it twisted into a rather dirty look. Your eye brow twitched at how rude he was being; not only was he giving you a detestable grimace, he was also flat out ignoring you. You opened your mouth to say something, but he must have read your mind when he suddenly began to speak up.

"Call me Emil. It's nice to meet you, (Name)." He offered out his hand and with a subtle sigh of relief, you shook it.

You then turned around with closed eyes and that smile smacked back on your face. "And this is Art-" You opened your eyes but Arthur had gone. "Oh… never mind, he must have rushed off to lunch…" You frowned a little. You hadn't meant to ignore the blonde, you were just eager to talk to Emil before you missed your chance and he slipped away into the busy lunch hall. "Well, in that case, did you want to eat lunch with me?"

"Not really, I'm supposed to be eating with my brother and his friends." Emil shut his enchanting eyes away and slung his bag over his shoulder.

You pouted and folded your arms over your chest. If it wasn't for the fact that you were trying to be friends with him, you might have bit him with attitude, but your curiosity about the Nordic Five kept you polite. "Oh, aren't they all in the year above?" He nodded and looked at you, wondering why you asked that. "Well, wouldn't it be nice to meet people in your own year? It would be good if you made some friends now instead of struggling to get into a group later…" You were never a big fan of groups in schools, but there was no way to really avoid them.

Emil looked at you and you could see in his purple eyes that he was contemplating it. "Fine, I will have lunch with you and your friends, but I really don't care about making acquaintances." He was lying. You could tell by the slight twitches of his muscles that he was eager to make fast friends. "I have to tell my brother first though…"

That was it! A golden opportunity to meet Lukas, just by going with Emil to inform Lukas that his little brother would be spending lunch with you and your friends. This seemed easier than you first thought. Maybe the group wasn't as closed off after all and they just looked cold and distant.

     "OK, where is your brother?"

"If it's all the same with you, I'd like to talk to him alone. Do you mind waiting for me outside the lunch hall?"

The smile on your lips wavered a little. It wasn't as simple as you thought after all. "Not a problem." You kindly said. "But, why do you want to talk to your brother alone?"

Emil began walking out of the classroom and you walked beside him. "Lukas is a little… shy about meeting strangers, and I hardly know you so it would just be really awkward trying to introduce you. I hope you understand it's nothing personal." He tried to look at you with a blank face, but you could see that he really didn't want to offend you.

You stopped walking and nodded at him before he faded into the sea of people that flooded the hallway. For some reason, that last glance you stole from him seemed really warm. Your palms were a little sweaty so you wiped them down your uniform and trotted off to your locker and then to the lunch hall's doorway.

As you kept your eyes wide open and scanned the array of faces to make sure you didn't miss Emil, you found two of the other Scandinavian boys. The two tall blondes were coming towards you and you couldn't find a tongue to speak to them! All you could do was listen in to their conversation as they walked past you.

The one with the glasses seemed uninterested and just gave out half-hearted grunts in reply to Mathias. "Whoa seriously Berwald, did you not see how BIG they were! I'm pretty sure I could HEAR them bouncing when she walked!"

That must have been Ivan's sister he was talking about. Oh great, how on earth would you compete with breasts as big, round and bouncy as hers? You bowed your head and leaned your back against the cold wall. No, it's not just about bosoms, and if that's all a guy bothered to notice then he wasn't worth the time. You couldn't judge him just on something you heard him say, in fact, he didn't even say anything about him 'liking' them.

     "(Name)?"

You looked up and your eyes met Emil's. You smiled a little and straightened your spine. "Emil! Are you ready to meet my weirdo friends?"

"Sure." He nodded and followed you into the cafeteria.

Chapter Over View-
You have a chance to speak to the Icelandic dude Emil, but Arthur thinks that there is something weird with him. Is there actually something odd about him? Or Is Arthur just being his normal weird self?

Author Note
I decided to get this out fairly quickly now that I know where this story is going and how it's going to get there. I will try to update this regularly, but don't worry I will still be continuing my 7 Minutes in Hetalia Heaven and gifts and requests I have yet to complete will be done.

Who do YOU date?
Read the chapters, and eventually this question will be answered. I guess I can tell you now that you will have some sort of 'date' with each of the Nordics, but at the end-... well, you're just going to have to read on until I reach the end, won't you?
